No Matter What You Are is deliberately simpler than the more elliptical stories in the Shell Oracle film series. It is built around a single idea: love does not require the strange to become familiar before it can be chosen.
The Oyster Eye does not interfere. It simply watches.
A mermaid crosses from one world into another, and two people make the same decision.
