This is one of the most sculptural and labor-intensive pieces in the Shell Oracle collection. It combines a natural oyster shell or similar shell form with a hand-formed human face / bust relief, pearlescent surface finish, metal / tinwork details, faux pearl accents, and an ivory cotton-linen style ribbon.

Both styles belong to the same Oyster Baroque Sacred Icon Series, but they are separate handmade designs. The face, shell shape, pearl placement, metalwork, surface tone, and texture may differ between styles.

* Shell portrait pendant: This piece is designed as a pendant-style chest ornament, ribbon neck ornament, hanging object, or small wearable sculpture. It can also be displayed as a small shell portrait art object when not worn.

* Baroque sacred icon feeling: Part of the Shell Oracle siren relic world, this piece is made to feel like something recovered from the shore of a forgotten sea-siren chapel: pale, pearlescent, devotional, and quietly uncanny.

* More sculpture than ordinary jewelry: Unlike our simpler shell charms or oyster eye pieces, this design includes a sculptural face / bust relief. The soft, solemn, imperfect face gives the object the feeling of a sea-worn sacred portrait rather than a polished factory charm.

* Visual note: The words “Sacred Icon” refer to the visual language of devotional art, baroque portraiture, and relic-like ornamentation. This piece is an art object, not a consecrated religious item.

Approximate size

This item is made to order. Most pieces are completed within about 1–2 weeks before shipment. Each piece is individually handmade, so small natural shell differences and hand-finished variations are expected.
