If an order is placed without prior contact, we will message the buyer before beginning work. If the requested design cannot be completed safely or within this listing’s scope, the order may be cancelled and fully refunded.

ABOUT THE WORK

This is a functional sculptural candle holder created with a natural conch shell or similarly dramatic shell form, a handmade Shell Oracle eye, mixed-media surface details, and a fitted candle-support structure.

As the candle burns, melted wax may travel across the shell and eye area like tears. The changing wax becomes part of the visual life of the piece.

The precise dripping path, wax pattern, and final appearance cannot be guaranteed. They will depend on the candle, flame, room temperature, shell angle, burning time, and natural form of the finished holder.

LIMITED CUSTOMIZATION

Customization is intended to guide the mood of the work rather than redesign its entire structure.

Possible preferences may include:

- Pale and ethereal
- Dark and gothic
- Cleaner or more heavily ornamented
- Open, half-lidded, upturned, or softer eye expression
- Pearl accents
- Clear crystal tear accents
- More restrained or more dramatic weeping details
- White, ivory, pink, grey, brown, or darker overall tones

Natural shell availability determines the final silhouette, spikes, opening, surface texture, and proportions.

Exact copies of previous pieces, exact shell shapes, precisely repeated eye expressions, and identical wax-drip patterns cannot be guaranteed.

CANDLE COMPATIBILITY

Please use only the candle type and diameter confirmed with us before production.

The candle is not automatically included unless this is specifically confirmed in your custom order.

SAFETY

This piece must always be placed on a stable, non-flammable, heat-safe plate or tray large enough to catch dripping wax.

- Never leave a burning candle unattended
- Keep away from curtains, paper, fabric, pets, children, and other flammable materials
- Do not move the holder while the candle is burning or while wax is hot
- Keep the candle upright and securely fitted
- Stop use immediately if the shell cracks, shifts, leaks unexpectedly, becomes excessively hot, or the flame becomes unstable
- Wax dripping is an intended visual effect, not a defect

Each buyer is responsible for supervising the candle during use and providing a suitable heat-safe tray.

HANDMADE VARIATION

Each piece is individually created from a natural shell.

Shell species, size, shape, spikes, edge, thickness, color, eye detail, pearl or crystal placement, candle position, surface finish, and hand-built elements will vary.

These differences are part of the one-of-a-kind character of the work, not flaws.

WHAT IS INCLUDED

Each Shell Oracle artist piece includes:

Packaging note:

Smaller pieces may be presented in the shell-shaped display case shown in some Shell Oracle photos.

Larger, taller, or more irregular candle holders may instead be placed in a soft protective pouch inside the gift box, with additional protective packing selected according to the finished shape.

Complex pieces and large natural shells may require additional time for shell selection, eye construction, candle fitting, assembly, drying, finishing, and safety checking.
