The Watching Hours — Oyster Eye Wall Clock

Sale price  $1,940.71 Regular price $2,156.35

A made-to-order functional oyster eye wall clock from the official Shell Oracle collection.

Ref Code: SO000

Artwork Title: The Watching Hours
Original Artist Title: 刹那瞳

The Watching Hours is a functional wall clock and one of the flagship works in the Shell Oracle collection.

Twelve handmade oyster-eye elements are arranged around the clock face like hour markers. Each eye occupies its own moment, turning the passage of time into a circle of quiet, watchful gazes.

This is not only a decorative wall object. The clock mechanism functions normally, and the hands move to display time.

This is a made-to-order Shell Oracle artist piece. Your order will be created within the same design language as the sample shown in the listing photos. It will not be an exact mechanical copy, because every natural oyster shell has its own shape, edge, color, texture, thickness, and visual character.

Each Shell Oracle artist piece includes

* A gift-ready box
* A product certificate
* Artist signature / signed card

Packaging note

Due to the size of this artwork, it will not use the small shell-shaped presentation case shown with some Shell Oracle accessories.

The clock will be placed in a soft protective presentation wrap or pouch inside its gift-ready box, with additional protective packaging selected for safe international shipping.

Artwork details

* Type: functional wall clock
* Format: round sculptural wall artwork
* Hour markers: twelve handmade oyster-eye elements

For scale, this is a large statement wall piece, approximately 50 cm / 19.7 in across. It is designed to remain clearly visible as a focal object in a living room, bedroom, studio, hallway, gallery wall, or dark interior setting.

Limited customization

To preserve The Watching Hours as a coherent artist work, customization is limited to color, mood, and small finishing preferences rather than structural redesign.

You may leave one short preference note for

Eye palette: cool blue-grey, warm brown-gold, or a natural mixed palette
Gaze mood: more watchful, softer and dreamlike, or a balanced mix of open and half-closed eyes
Clock-hand finish: black, dark wood, or antique gold, subject to hardware availability
A short name, date, or dedication for the back of the clock or the product certificate

The 50 cm round format, twelve-eye structure, functional clock mechanism, and overall composition remain fixed.

Natural shell shapes, eye details, expressions, and exact placement will vary. Exact copies of the photographed sample or individually specified eye arrangements cannot be guaranteed.

Please leave only one concise preference note at checkout. We will confirm whether the request can be completed within the design of The Watching Hours before production begins. Requests requiring structural changes may be declined or quoted separately.

Visual character

In daylight, the pale clock face and oyster shells read as a surreal sculptural design object.

In dim or evening light, the twelve eyes become more atmospheric and uncanny, giving the work a quieter and more watchful presence within the room.

Handmade variation

Each clock is individually created by the artist. Shell shape, eye expression, iris tone, eyelid detail, surface texture, spacing, metalwork, clock-face finish, and other hand-finished elements may vary slightly.

The finished piece will preserve the overall composition, twelve-eye clock structure, functional design, and visual identity of The Watching Hours. Natural and handmade differences are part of the work, not flaws.

Styling note

Some images may show refined lighting, nighttime presentation, or interior styling inspiration. They are intended to demonstrate how the artwork may appear under different lighting conditions.

This listing includes the made-to-order functional wall clock only. Furniture, lighting, and other room elements shown in styling images are not included.

Made to order

This is a complex artist-made work. Most pieces require approximately 20–30 days to complete before shipment.
